And the spirit of King David longed to go forth to Absalom, for he was comforted about Amnon, seeing that he was dead.

King David longed to go to Absalom, for David had finished grieving over Amnon’s death.
Then the king’s desire to go out after Absalom faded away because he had gotten over Amnon’s death.
But as King David became reconciled to the death of his son Amnon, he was increasingly filled with longing to see Avshalom.
David still felt so sad over the loss of Amnon that he wanted to take his army there and capture Absalom.
And king David longed to go forth to Absalom; for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
King David was comforted after Amnon died, but he missed Absalom very much.
By this time, King David had stopped being so upset about Amnon's death. He wanted very much to see Absalom again.
King David longed to reach out to Absalom, because he was no longer mourning for his deceased son Amnon.
And the spirit of the king longed to go out to Absalom, because he was comforted about Amnon, since he was dead.
And the spirit of the king longed to go out to Absalom, because he was comforted about Amnon, since he was dead.
When King David ·got over [was reconciled to/comforted about/consoled over] Amnon’s death, he ·missed [longed/yearned for] Absalom greatly.
And king David desired to go forth unto Absalom, because he was pacified concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
King David began to long for Absalom once people had consoled him over Amnon’s death.
but when he got over Amnon's death, he was filled with longing for his son Absalom.
Then King David longed to go to Absalom, for David had finished grieving over Amnon’s death.
When King David got over Amnon’s death, he missed Absalom greatly.
Meanwhile, King David longed to visit Absalom, since he was moved to compassion over Amnon’s death.
And King David longed to see Absalom, for he was now comforted concerning Amnon, who was dead.
And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.

And the heart of King David was consumed with going out to Absalom; for he was comforted concerning Amnon, since he had died.
King David longed to go out to Absalom, for he was consoled that Amnon had died.
Absalom fled to King Talmai of Geshur (the son of Ammihud) and stayed there three years. Meanwhile David, now reconciled to Amnon’s death, longed day after day for fellowship with his son Absalom.
Then Jonadab exclaimed to the king, “See! It’s the king’s sons coming, just as I said!” He had no sooner said the words than the king’s sons burst in—loud laments and weeping! The king joined in, along with all the servants—loud weeping, many tears. David mourned the death of his son a long time. When Absalom fled, he went to Talmai son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. He was there three years. The king finally gave up trying to get back at Absalom. He had come to terms with Amnon’s death.
Then King David longed to go out to Absalom, for he was consoled over the death of Amnon.
King David began to long for Absalom once people had consoled him over Amnon’s death.
All that time the king continued to mourn his son; but his intention of going out against Absalom abated as he was consoled over the death of Amnon.
And the heart of King David longed to go out to Absalom; for he was comforted regarding Amnon, since he was dead.

During all that time, David mourned over his son, but once he became reconciled to the death of Amnon, he yearned to be reconciled with Absalom.
When King David got over Amnon’s death, he missed Absalom greatly.
The king longed to go to Absalom, for he had since been consoled over the death of Amnon.
After some time the king got over his sorrow because of Amnon’s death. Then King David longed to go to Absalom.
And King David longed to go to Absalom, for he was consoled concerning Amnon’s death.
And King David longed to go to Absalom, for he was consoled concerning Amnon’s death.
And King David longed to go to Absalom. For he had been comforted concerning Amnon, because he was dead.
The spirit of King David wanted very much to go out to Absalom. For he was comforted about Amnon, since he was dead.
And King David, now reconciled to Amnon’s death, longed to be reunited with his son Absalom.
And the heart of the king went out, yearning for Absalom; for he was now consoled over the death of Amnon.

King David longed to pursue his son Absalom once he comforted himself concerning the death of his son Amnon.
King David longed to go out to Absalom; for he was comforted concerning Amnon, since he was dead.
And [king] David ceased to pursue Absalom, for he was comforted upon the death of Amnon. (And after King David resigned himself to Amnon’s death, he longed for his son Absalom.)
and [the soul of] king David determineth to go out unto Absalom, for he hath been comforted for Amnon, for [he is] dead.
